    1. [HODGES-L] Jesse Hodges in Goochland
    2. Hi Mary, Ken, and Flavia....I'm glad you brought up this question Mary. [I'm just catching up as you can tell and may have missed the response] The subject is Jesse Hodges and his marriages. I have a Jesse Hodges b. 1782 in Albemarle/Goochland son of William w. Hodges that died 1813 in Harrodsburg, Mercer, KY. The William w. Hodges family and his 7 sons went to KY circa 1809 or earlier. The sons of William W and unk are shown in the Mormon records as the following [suspect I know]: Benjamin b [1780], Samuel Harvey b 13 Feb 1782, Jesse [1782], Thomas [1784], John Pleasant 6 Apr 1786; William [1788]; David [1790]. >From Flavia I have the following information Jesse Hodges b. 20 Mar 1775 in VA. He married W1 rebecca Fisher 20 Dec 1801 in KY. He married W2 Sarah Sally Boone 29 Jun 1871 in Wayne county Inidiana. Children of Jesse and Sarah Boone are i. Perlina F. = John Rhoads 5 Sep 1824 Shelby co IN ii Fanetta Susan b. 1818 iii Rebecca Ann b 19 Mar 1820 [either a twin or same person as iv. Mary Jane b. 19 Mar 1820 = Levi butler 23 Mar 1843 Pulaski Co IN v. Isaac Jessie Boone Hodges b 7 May 1822 = Louisa Klinger 9 Apr 1851 Pulaski co IN vi John Pledge Hodges 28 Sep 1824 = Malissa Ann Oliver 11 Nov 1847 Pulaski co IN vii Samuel Pleasant Hodges b 28 Sep 1824 = Elizabeth Klinger 27 Jan 1848 in Pulaski Co IN [note another set of twins? Our line hasn't had twins before nor after but another Hodges line that married with the Pratts I think it was do have a history of twins.] viii. Martha Meca b 7 Dec 1826 ix Nancy Sarah Hodges b 5 Sep 1829 d. 18 Feb 1863. m. unk Taylor 22 apr 1852 x Louisa Margaret b 5 July 1832 = Joseph Klinger 17 Mar 1853 xi Emily Jane b 19 Feb 1835 d. 24 Apr 1850. Now Mary has a Jesse Hodges that is the son of John and Deborah Lee born 10 Nov 1760 who also is listed as marrying Rebecca Fisher 20 Dec 1801. Now what do you all think? Have we got two families mixed up here??? Please let me know if you canmake any sense of this. connie Perplexed in Falls Church VA In a message dated 5/5/99 2:20:52 AM Pacific Daylight Time, HODGES-D-request@rootsweb.com writes: << X-Message: #2Re: HODGES-D Digest V99 #290 Date: Tue, 04 May 1999 08:31:37 -0600 From: Mary Buchholz <Shepherd@iw.net> To: HODGES-L@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <372F04C9.1A454B96@iw.net> Subject: Re: [HODGES-L] Hodges/Page in Goochland Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Kenneth, In your searches in Goochland did you run into my Jesse Hodges. I am searching for the full name of his wife; now I suppose he married in KY where he was serving in the Revolutionary War. I have records of this etc. HOWEVER, now I have been given two names for his wife and no surname. Sarah ? was the first; now from Anne Crabb, author of _And the Battle Began Like Claps of Thunder_; Jesse married Rebecca Fisher 20 Dec 1801. Jesse is the son of John and Deborah Lee born Nov. 10, 1760. Deborah Lee Hodges died in KY. Have other informationm, like children of Jesse to share, Mary -- http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/b/u/c/Mary-C-Buchholz/tree1.html >>
