To all: I recently learned some more about my Creed Clay Hodges family ancestors and heard from two descendants of his son William J.E. Hodges. I now know that William (my grandfather's brother) moved to Texas around 1900 and I am trying to find out where his siblings located--or did they stay in Illinois? I also would like to know what happened to Creed and his wife Caroline. Did they go to Texas with some of their children? If anyone has access to the Saline County IL censuses of 1880 and 1900 would you please be so kind as to see if Creed is listed on them? He would have been about 54 in 1880 and 74 in 1900. I guess there is no 1890 census which might have been more helpful determining where this family went. Even if they were still in Illinois in 1880, they could have left after that. Thanks, Ann Gasser
