I am a new subscriber to the Hodges mailing list so I hope this is the correct way to introduce my branch of the family to all Hodges researchers. I am descended from Charles HODGES (ca. 1782-1889). Charles was born somewhere in TN, lived in Scott Co., AR from at least 1840 to 1860, then to Williamson Co., TX by 1870. He died in Lampasas Co., TX in 1889. I have attempted to reconstruct his family group sheet. He had at least 11 children and two wives, Pamela & Caroline. The children as far as I can tell were: Walter (ca. 1820-?), Caloway (ca. 1826-?), unknown daughter, Robert (ca. 1831-?), 2 unknown sons, Emily (ca. 1833-?), Louisa (ca. 1835-), Manerva (1836-1904), Joanna (ca. 1842-) & Claborne C. (1844-1927). I am descended from the youngest child, Claiborne C. HODGES (1844-1927). I will be happy to exchange my information with anyone also working on this line. Thanks. Kevin McCulloch
