Hi All: I am posting this query in the highest hopes someone out there will recognize this name. If anyone has a Corneila Hodges, Corneila Francis Hodges, or Corny, Nelle, Nelly or Neila Hodges in their tree, I would love to hear from you. I have been researching Corneila for over 4 years and cannot find a thing. All I have is what was written in a family bible: Corneila Hodges born March 1, 1863, and died September 25, 1891. She is believed to have been born in Kentucky and resided in Macon/Sumner County Tennessee with her husband John Lester Carter. She is thought to be buried in Shiloh Cemetery (Macon County, TN) in an unmarked grave. I have no idea who her parents and/or siblings are. I have been over and over the 1870 to 1880 census records and can't find a name/age remotely close to being Corneila in Macon/Sumner/Allen Counties. Nothing comes up at Ancestry.Com, nor have I had any luck with all the other records I have been through the past 4 years. It could be the i! nfo I have on her is not entirely correct, but it is all I have to work with. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
