Rev. William Murphy 2nd marriage ca 1764 to Sarah Barton. He lived and was buried 1799 in Grainger County, TN. Lloyd Ellis" I also descend from this Martha Hodge also (guess I have Hodge's all over the place) as William Murphy's granddaughter Mary R. Murphy married Samuel Worthington and moved to Bledsoe County, TN. I've researched all of these due to the similarity of names and the mention of an Ambrose on the 1790 census. One point is they used the name Hodges not Hodge, although one later line did start using Hodge [HUBBARD MC KINLEY HODGE, b: July 10, 1902 in SURRY CO. NC]. Bartholomew did have a son James but not James C., James C.
