I have not been able to prove that his wife was Elizabeth Williams or if he was the son of Richard Hodge and Catherine Hickens. I am not sure he is the John found in Laurens Co., SC. We just recently found that the family is from SC. Can anyone help with this family. The family moved to Gallatin County, Il sometime before 1930. Sue, do you happen to know anything about another John Hodges that was in the County of Laurens Co., SC., in the early 1800's? There was another John Hodges that was living there with a Richard Hodges living next door. He had a male born before 1810, I think that this could be my GG Grandfather Leroy H. Hodges, born in 1806.
