OK, GA HODGES researchers. I have a quandry... I have obtained from different researchers the following information: James Wayne (1835-1888), s/o William and Martha (Colson) HODGES, married in 1864 Screven Co., GA, Isabella BEST (11 Sep 1837 - 5 Feb 1919 Screven Co., GA) Ambrose (1820-1860), s/o Samuel and Jane (Black) HODGES, married 1857 in Effingham Co., GA, Isabella BEST (b abt 1834). Does anyone know if these were the same person? The Isabella who married Ambrose could have married 2) James Wayne after Ambrose's death. Researcher William HODGES from this list wrote to me "she 1st. married Andrew Hodge (S)??". This could have been Ambrose instead of Andrew which would confirm Isabella's second marriage.
