    2. Dear Bob, I'm new to the list and do not understand your reference to searching the list archives. Would you please explain how to do that? I have a fair amount on this Jesse Monroe Hodges family but no need to duplicate if the info is already posted. Thanks for you help. Sincerely, Judy Dunbar

    1. [HODGES-L] Reseraching the Crews Family of GA and FL
    2. Joe & Steph
    3. Hi.... I am researching the Crews families that lived in GA and FL.... The family that I am mainly researching is Archibald Graham Crews (Feb 1819 GA - July 1905 in Baker Co, FL) and his wife, Honor Civility Bradley (Jan 1835 Nassau Co, FL - Feb 1913, Baker Co, FL). Archibald was the son of Roger Crews and Honor was the daughter of John Henry Bradley Jr. I am looking for information on the family....the children and the rest.... One of their daughters was Courtney Victoria Crews who married Joshua Hodges (these are my great grandparents) and I am seeking information on Courtney's siblings....any information would be appreciated..... Appreciate any help... Stephanie Grohol

    1. [HODGES-L] Hodges, Monroe(Jesse)
    2. Thanks Robert and Bob for the feed-back. I have been in contact with Ken....he's been very helpful. I will check the archives to see if there is anything new for me to add. My Thomas has been difficult to pin down. I have only the census proofs for him...no marriage, death, etc. I'll just keep looking. Again thanks!! Arlene WA State

    3. Arlene, I too am interested in Jesse Monroe Hodges who left S.C. in 1840s to go to MO. and later from there to Oregon. It is believed that he belongs to a group called the "Isle of Wight Virginia" family. That family is Henry, Robert Sr., Robert Jr., Richard- died 1752 in S.C. I have seen various postings on this in the last few years, but I have never entered this info in my records because working towards the present generation from Richard d. 1752 has not been documented. I suppose I have some of that info filed on paper somewhere, but I think if you search the archives of rootsweb you can find this. Also, there is a fellow named Ken Robinson who is kin to Jesse Monroe Hodges. He would be a lot more authoritve than I. Hopefully he or others will see this and help you. If not, I will try to scrounge up what I have. 3. Does any one have this Mary B. HODGES in their file? One the Census it is showing a "Mary B"., But could the census taker have thought this was an initial and maybe it could have been " Mary Bee". Just a thought. Or this could have been her middle name or her last name before marriage. There were two other HODGES living with her a Richard and Wesley Hodges. And there were other Hodges in the Elyton Precinct. HODGES, MARY B.
