    3. Hi Tim, I couldn't find much on Margaret but there are so many John's that I couldn't list them all. Here are some possibilities from my miscellaneous files. As you know, Surry was formed in 1652 from James City so you're getting back to the Jamestown area. HODGES, Margaret Subject of a Headright 1651 Lower Norfolk County A0005 189 Early Virginia Immigrants; 1623-1666 Hodges, Margaret, 1652, by James Sterling, Lower Norfolk Co. 3. Jerry and Renee, you must have access to marriage records for some counties in Tennessee. If you have access to records for Grainger, Claiborne, and Rutherford Co Tenn, can you look and see if there are any marriages for a (Jesse) Reeves to a Mary Priddy, about 1856/7 or so? OR, any marriage for a Reeves in that approx time frame. Thanks, in advance, if you have the records. 3. Mary, It is good to hear from a cousin. Since you said, what you did, I remember that I think Al Metts published on the list about Nicholas Ware Hodges papers. I haven't updated my information yet. Yes, I am a direct descendant of Richard. My great grandmother Chambers on my mother's side was a Hodges. She and my great grandfather were married in Missouri and moved to Oklahoma. I never knew my great grandfather but I use to go to visit on occasions my great grandmother. She always lived in what seemed to me a huge house, which it was but as a small child, it was really huge). I would be very much interested in working with you. I have a private invitation-only site that I keep all of my information on my maternal side of my family which if you are interested, I will invite you. It allows whoever is part of it to post information upload files to it on the internet as well as download other information for your use. I have been working hard on my Bottoms side and haven't kept all of my records for the Hodges up-to-date. 3. I last heard from Paul about 3 years ago, he was still in Texas at that point. He has put together a little on the Franklin Co., VA Hodges families. I had written him for more info, and he replied by saying he had become increasingly old and frail, and was concentrating only on his branch of the family for his children, and would be entertaining no more queries on unrelated Hodges. I don't know how sick he still is, or whether or not he's still actively researching. Since I work about 5 miles from where his son lives, I'll try sometime in the future to see what he knows. Also, Diane's gedcom (www.my-ged.com/db/page/davis) has these names. Some confusion is noted in these lists, but it is helpful. 3. The Isham Hodges in the LDS Records is not the same Isham Hodges you are looking for. That Isham was b. Abt. 1730 in Virginia. Probably Lunenburg Co. and died in Henry County, Virginia, in 1782. This part of Henry County later became Franklin County, VA. This is my line of Hodges. You can see his will on the TnSumner Page for Sumner County Tennessee. Some of his sons went to Tennessee in the very early 1800s.
