The Civil War data base only lists about half of the soldiers that served.....lucky us that are in that half!!!! Hi, I am looking for information about Charles Jefferson Hodges who was born around 1876 in Ft. Valley, Georgia. At least that is the information I have. He had six sibs--James, Curtis, Frank, Molly, Ludy, and Lillian. All had middle names of presidents. There might be the names Cox and Rockamore some where in the background. I don't know. When he married Ms Sabina Vaughan in greenbrier county west virginia, he gives his age as being 19 and his birthplace is Franklin County VA. I'm posting this again, in the hopes that someone new will see it. I am descended from Sam William Hodges through his son WILLIAM POINTER HODGES born 1875 in Hart Co., Ky. He married Eliza Catherine Shelton in Larue Co., Ky. They moved to Kansas in the early 1900's. I can get no dates or anything else on Sam William. He doesn't seem to have existed!!
