I wanted to let everyone know why I may be missing on line for a good bit of the time. Friday (17th) my Mother became ill and was taken to the hospital. Early Saturday morning she had a massive stoke. She is now under Hospice care, at Hospice Savannah. It is just a matter of time. I am spending most of my time with her. I will catch up with things I have promised and return to some type of schedule once this has past. Please pray that she will not suffer long. Thanks Faye
In the probate for Seth Thomas Hodges of Macoupin County Illinois 1841, a Thomas Hodges and a Seth Hodges are listed as having bought from the probate sale. These two are also in the 1850 Macoupin County census. Thomas married a Sarah 16 Feb 1837 and Seth married a Mary Elizabeth Rainey 11 Mar 1850. Anyone decended from either of the two? Who are the parents? Are they brothers? Thanks Marita
Don't need the book. Only wanted to know the length of the old time surveyors pole. Several people on the list were kind enough to send me the information. Thanks. Bob, I may be mistaken but I thought I had e-mailed you about getting a copy of the letters referred to in this e-mail. Then again maybe not. Anyway would it be possible to get copies. You were kind enough to send me some information for my father-in-law some time ago and I think he would like a copy of these letters. Also did you learn anything more about the Harvey family? My snail mail address is Sharon Hodges, 5904 Mt. Eagle Drive, Unit 311, Alexandria, VA 22303. If there is any cost, please let me know. I appreciate all the help you have been. Thanks, Sharon Hodges

THANKS TO ALL WHO ANSWERED MY QUERY ON SURVEYOR'S POLE LWNGTH. YOUR HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED. Lowell Brown
The WAYNE Family Association of PA has undertaken a project to find all of the descendants of Captain Anthony Wayne (1666- 1739). Capt. Wayne was the grandfather of Major General "Mad" Anthony Wayne of Revolutionary War fame and the original owner of Historic Waynesborough, the familial home in Paoli, PA. Descendants may send in their names and addresses as well as those of all known blood relatives, including the surnames of: ARMSTRONG, ATLEE, BUTLER, CALDWELL, CARSON, CLARK, COATS, COOPER, EVANS, FARRA, FRENCH, GARDINER, HALDEMAN, HARPER, HAYMAN, HODGES, HOLSTEIN, IDDINGS, JANDON, JONSON, KEATING, KEELY, LEADON, LYLE, MCCALLA, MCCUE, MOORE, NORTON, RIDGEWAY, ROGERS, ROUSE, STEELE, TEMPLIN, THOMAS, VANLEER, WAYNE. As many generations as possible should be included and sent to: Pedigree charts: Historic Waynesborough, 2049 Waynesborough Road, Paoli, PA 19301 Replies and ged.coms: [email protected] No information will be shared with any other organizations or on the Internet. The Wayne Family Association does not do any genealogical research.
Hello List, Does anyone out there know the lenght of the old surveyor's pole? I know a chain was 66 feet in length but need to know how long a pole was. Thanks. Lowell Brown
