Ray - I suggest that you start with writing the State Dept. of Health for a copy of his death certificate. Request it from the Division of Statistics State Dept. of Health 3400 North Eastern Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73105 You will probably have to pay a modest fee (about $10) in most states. That document may furnish you with lots of good information depending upon who gave them the information. If you know where he is buried, go see if other family members are also located in the same cemetery. Search out the funeral home and see if they have a copy of the obit. from the local newspaper. Since Spiro, OK is near Fort Smith, Arkansas you may even find info on him in the newspapers there. I would search out the nearest big library or write to one in perhaps Muskogee if you can't go there. Good luck.
