This is what I have on the HODGE--HALL Families. Penelope Hodge was my Gt Grandmother. Most of the info below was researched by a cousin, V. Rigby . My son has helped with the search on the HALL & HODGE. Thomas Hall, father of Seborn James Hall. Thomas Hall had five wives. Seborn James was by his first wife,Penelopy Hodge, daughter of Miles Hodge and Frances ?. The second wife was Jane Miller. The third wife was Artimisha Lewis(Charlie Calvin's mother). The fourth wife was Lenorah Mason,(my great grandmother). Their daughter, Delanie Bertran Hall was the only child of this union. The fifth wife was Ellen Pauline Driskell. No children of this union, and she outlived Thomas. Thomas Hall was born in Applin Co. Ga. in 1830, son of Franklin Benjamin Hall and Elizabeth ?. This Hall Family is in Marion Ga. in 1840. In 1850, they are in Covington Co. Al. So is the Miles Hodge Family. In 1860, both Hall and Hodge families are in Holmes Co. Fl. Thomas is married to Penelopy Hodge and has three children; John Seborn and Eliza. Franklin Benjamin died in January of 1860 and is not in the census. Penelopy died in 1863 at the Naval Station in Pensacola Fl. Then Thomas enlisted in the First Florida (US) Cavalry in Feb. 1864 at Fort Barrancus, Pensacola, Fl. Macfadden Hodge, Penelopy's brother enlisted with him. Macfadden died at the Fort. I can't find Thomas in 1870, but in 1880 he is in Vernon Parish La. I think that the Margaret on that census may be Penelopy's daughter because in Thomas's application for his wartime pension he stated that Margaret was born in 1863. (VR) He was married to Jane MILLER. (4) Children were: Maggie HALL, Melissa HALL, William M. HALL, Thomas M. HALL, Franklin HALL. He was married to Artimisha LEWIS .(4) Children were: Charlie Calvin HALL, James Allen HALL. Children were: Delanie Bertran HALL. He was married to Ellen Pauline DRISKELL.(4) He was married to Penelopy HODGE. After you forwarded his information to me, I contacted him directly, and he said he would get back with us in two weeks. I know he was in the process of moving and I don't want to be pushy. If you haven't heard anything, and I don't hear from him within the next couple of weeks, I try him again.
