Faye, I have several friends who attend Mars Hill Baptist Church in Social Circle, GA (Walton Co. - next door to Oconee Co.). There are several people named Hodge who attend that church - one even named Carolyn Hodge. However, they are of African American descent. My husband is not, so I never considered asking about their ancestors, and since Miles Hodge owned slaves, I think it's probably best that I don't.
