    3. Tammy - It seems as though I recall seeing Marquis Lafayette Hodges on the Civil War records, maybe from Mississippi? Also, seems like he may have died during the conflict. From Judy Caufield (cauf@teleport.com) she says known children of her 3rd Great Grandfather, Jesse Monroe Hodges, who was married to Catherine STANLEY 25 Dec 1812 in either NC or SC were as follows: Charles b. 1819 Indiana Alexander b. 1821 Indiana Drury Robertson, b. 1823 Indiana Jane, b. 1827 Indiana Calloway, b. 1829 Indiana Harrison, b. 1832, Indiana Monroe, b. 1833 Ohio Elizabeth, b. 1836 Ohio She further says they moved to Missouri about 1839 and went to Oregon on the Oregon Trail in 1847. Parents of Jesse Monroe Hodges were Thomas and Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). The obituary of Elizabeth stated that she was the youngest of 12 children. She does not know the children. DOES ANYONE?
