Seeking information on my mother's family (Patricia Hodge Summers). Her father's name was James Perry Hodge, born in Piggott, Arkansas on October 6, 1901; died in Flint, Michigan on January 30, 1973. His wife was Vera Cornelia Hammock. His father was William Henry Hodge who was also from Arkansas (we think). He was married to Hannah Mote. This is really all the information we have been able to obtain. If anyone can help us trace this family farther back, we would greatly appreciate the help! Ray & Sharon Jordan

We think that we have traced our Hodge(s) family to Pulaski and Dooly Counties in Georgia. The Mother may have been Milly Hodge(s), with sons William (Bill, Billie) in Dooly Co 1850 census, Elisha, Peter and John in Pulaski Co 1850 census. Not even a hint of a husband for Milly at this point. She seems to be listed as Milly Hodge in the 1830 and M. Hodge in the 1840. They all end up in Alachua Co, FL by 1860. Hi Ray or Sharon, I have quite a bit on this line and have traced it for a while. Patricia Ann Hodge was born 6/11/1937 in Flint, Michigan and md. Arthur William Summers on 12/17/1977. James Perry md. Vera on 10/2/1922 in Manila, Mississippi, Ark. Vera was born 6/4/1908 in Ada, Pontotoc, Ok. and died on 10/21/1987. Her parents were Edward and Lou Emma Eaton (Jones) Hammock. William Henry was born on 3/22/1866 in Jonesboro, Union, Il. and md. Hannah M. Mote in Ark. in 1893. William died in 1938 in Leachville and is buried in Box Elder, Ark.. Hannah was born 7/27/1876 in Pulaski, Ark. and died in Leachville in January of 1957. William was the second child of William Moses and Hulda (Gibbs) Hodge William Moses Hodge was born in 1842 in Tn. and in 1861 md. Hulda Gibbs, died in 1929. Hulda was born 1842 in Ark. and died in 1922 in Leachville. Moses' parents were Bartholomew and Sarah Hodge. Bartholomew was born in Tn. in 1811/2 md. #1 Sarah ? ca 1841and #2 Rebecca A Renn.
