Hi Wayne You've got back further than I have! So far with certainty I go back to William Hodge b 7.10.1771 in Tiverton, Devon. From an old letter there are supposed to be 2 Thomas Hodge behind William. One may be Thomas b 18.09.1732 m Jane Tucker?? who was Mayor of Tiverton 1773. According to IGI he had a son Thomas b 1764. Am sorry I cannot be of help to you. Below is information on Hodges who were one of the first families in Georgia arriving on the ship Anne 12 Feb. 1733. You will find more about the families who arrived on the Anne on my Web Page (I am presently up dating this information). Check back later as I am adding information at this time. Faye Hodges, Elizabeth, 16, Daughter to Richard, none listed, Dead, August 4, 1735 48. ( "She marry'd Ri [Richard] Lobb 8 May 1734." Posted on: HODGE Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/h/o/HODGE/queries/10030 Surname: Hodge ------------------------- As a neonatal nurse of 8 years I have never heard the term flux twin. Is this on an old document? Perhaps hard to read and meant fraternal (frat)? The only other suggestion I have is that the child was lost, like in flux- out of the body. Ever heard of the bloody flux? Hope you find your answer.

Was your father identical to his twin or faternal? Where did you see or hear about this term? I do know that indentical twins are the only people who have identical DNA, even down to their fingerprints and blood type. Any other info you might have would be appreciated. Wish I could be of more help. Annette

Teri - The hour is late here but a few facts for you. Granbury, TX is the county seat of Hood County which is South and a little west of Fort Worth and Johnson Co. TX is on its eastern border. There is a community of Grandview in the SE corner of Johnson Co., Texas. The county seat of Johnson County is Cleburne. I do not live there and have only been a few times to do research there but I do belong to the Johnson Co. Historical & Genealogical Society which has been very helpful to me. Their address is PO Box 1256, Cleburne, TX 76033-1256 and I think the yearly dues are only $15.00. When I was a "rookie" genealogist, I took a class & the instructor recommended that we obtain a good atlas and if you are doing research in Texas I suggest that you get a copy of a Texas Almanac. They are published annually by the Dallas Morning News and I think the paperback is only about $12. The address is Dallas Morning News, PO Box 655237, Dallas, TX 75265. You may also locate one at Barnes & Noble or if you are in Texas, I would recommend "Half Price Book Stores". Probably available at amazon.com also or www.abebooks.com for less than the published price. You are probably in California or did I guess wrong? Have you looked in the 1890 Fed. Census for your Smith H. Hodge? Do you have the death certificate for his death in Calif? More later!
