Hi Bill, Marcus's son Harvey may have married Luaeme Skeen 12/21/1882 in Wayne Co WV. I don't know if it is Marcus's son as I am not able to find any descendants but the time frame seems to fit. Harvey was born about 1857 in Kentucky (probably in Lawrence Co) according to the census. Marcus also had a brother named Harvey. He was born about 1831 and I have no other information about him. Then he moved to Ouachita County, Arkansas where he lived from about 1845 till his death there in 1885. He and Anna had three more children. He married Mary F. in 1865. They had four children. Most of this large family lived in Ouachita County for many years. Charles lost his eldest son, William T. in the Civil War. Charles Hodge, (no s) born 1801, S.C., married Anna Jane Basden about 1830, in Troy, Pike Co., AL. They lived in Pike Co., AL until middle 1840's, then to Ouachita Co., AR. Anna Jane was the dau. of Jesse Basden and Mary Powell. Charles Hodge lived in Manning, Clarendon Co., SC. He may have been a son of Benjamin Hodge and Sarah Marriott or Merritt, this has not been proven. Charles was trained as a tanner and shoemaker. Hi, In addition to the work I'm doing on my cousin's Hodge family, I'm working on my own branch and thought I'd send out another query since it's been awhile. Does anyone have any info on John (Jack) Hodge who m. Martha S. (Patsy, Mattie) Durham in Hardin Co. KY in the 1880's. By 1910, they were heading West in a covered wagon. They must have stopped in Calloway Co.KY because they are listed on the 1910 Census there. They were heading out West to OK for the free or cheap land. Their KY family knew the wife as Patsy Hodge but the Western descendants call her Mattie Hodge. She and Jack had several children: John/Jack, Joseph, Herbert, Elizabeth Jean Weatherford-Warren, Pearl, and another girl. There was a Clyde, but I think that may be the child also called Herbert. Eliz. or Lizzie moved to Northern CA and died there in the 1960's, I think. A son moved to Clovis, N.M. I think he may have been some kind of politician or official there. There was reported to be Mohawk blood on the wife's side. Thanks for any help. Barb T
