    1. [Hodge] Re: Hial Hodge
    2. Yes, your Jehial Hodge sounds like the same person, but mine was born in Coventry NY also in July 1847, maybe they are one in the same, and one of us has the wrong birthplace. It's amazing though, they have the same children. Was your Hial married to a Mary Hinsman? I am related through Floyd's daughter Lena Hodge Ryan, she is my Grandma. Hial was her grandfather.

    1. [Hodge] Thompson & Hodge Families of Jefferson County, Illinois
    2. I am trying to identify the Thompsons that moved to Jefferson County, IL, from Tennessee in the 1840's. The mother's name was Sintha and the children were Sarah, Elijah, Andrew, Anderson, Mary Emily, Clemenza, Martha Jane and Thomas. Sarah was married to Patterson Hodge, and they moved with Sintha and family along with six Hodge children (Willis, John, James, Susan, Riley & Jane). The 1850 census showed Sintha Thompson as head of household. Household also includes a Lucy Thompson, born around 1810, and classifies her as an 'idiot'. She could possibly be their first child. Does anyone know Mr. Thompson's first name, Sintha's maiden name (born abt 1790), their birthplaces, where they are buried, and where the family lived in Tennessee? I read in a book on Coffee County, TN, that Sarah and Patterson were married in Bedford County around 1829, but they were on the 1840 census in Coffee County. Part of Bedford County was absorbed by Coffee County around 1836, so I'm hoping and as! suming that the Thompson family is from that part of middle Tennessee. Any information on Mr. Thompson and Sintha Thompson would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Edith may have lived in New Hampshire. Edith had two daughters: Gertrude Hodge Harrington and Lucille Byrne. Does any Hodge researcher recognise these ladies? TIA Jacqueline Lehman Davidson
