    2. John Weaver Hodge was born 9-1-1892 in Cherokee Co., NC. He married Ora Mae Brady 11-23-1912 in Murphy, NC (Cherokee Co., NC) and died 6-2-1953 in Gaston Co., NC. His father was William Hodge and Catherine Weatherman Beaver (she was widow).Williams parents were Thomas Hodge and Nancy Jane Proctor of White Co., GA. I have all documents from marriage of Thomas and Nancy Proctor forward but nothing prior on Thomas prior to marriage. I find Nancy Proctor in several White Co., Habersham Co, GA census but have hit a wall on Thomas. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Sandy

    3. If you have any luck finding information on Aaron Hodge, I would love to be kept informed. I have an Aaron Hodge (but not the same as yours - although he and his wife Arminda Kirkland did have a child named Hettie b. 1919 in Castleberry, Conecuh Co., AL). My brick wall is his grandfather, Miles Hodge and wife Frances Wheeler. They were born in SC (supposedly Sumter Co. although I can't prove it), lived in south Alabama (from about 1830 to after 1850) and died in Florida (1860 and 1870 Holmes Co. Florida Census). With the similarity in names (Aaron and Hettie/Hattie), and location (Sumter Co., SC) there is probably a connection somewhere. So please don't forget me as you gather information. Thanks. 1. [Hodge] Pulaski and Dooly Co., GA
    2. Jim Powell Jr
    3. Does anyone have a connection to the HODGE(S) that were in Pulaski and Dooly Counties in Georgia between 1820 and 1850? Or does anyone know anything about the Milly Hodge listed in the Pulaski Co, GA 1830 census, or the M. Hodge in the Pulaski Co, GA 1840 census? I believe that she was the Head of this Hodge(s) family from the mid 1820s. Most of this family seems to pick up and move to Alachua Co, FL in the mid 1850s. Any clues or leads would be appreciated. I have the ancestors, but no descendants, so if you find a connection, I can give you lots of info. All I have is a James HODGE, b 1842 in Wales died in Wisconsin in 1881. His wife was Martha -- don't know if he married her in Wales or the US, nor do I have any information on children. James was the son of Isaac HODGE and Esther SKONE. Good luck. Sharon
