I just joined the list and thought I'd jump right in with my ancestor. I am looking for John Hocking. He was born in England about 1845. He was a miner in Iowa. Where I do not know, possibly the central part of the state. He married a lady by the name of Ann \\, b. abt 1845 in New Jersey. His first daughter Ina May was born in Wisconsin in 1868. William J., Edward I., and Abbie Hocking were all born in Iowa. Youngest known son Charlie was born in Clear Creek, Colorado. Dates would be somewhere between 1872 and 1880. This is all I know of this family at this time. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kim
