    1. Shelby Jean James
    2. I am looking for information on Shelby Jean James. She is the daughter of Leslie James b.1901 d.1956. She married first James Hunter and they had one child (boy). She married secondly to Robert Hocking and they had two children (boy & girl). I know of nothing of this family except for what I have provided. I do not want to provide birthdates or the like because all people are believed to be alive. The reason I am searching for this information is I am tracing my family tree. And my great uncle's family is kind of a mystery. Also, if someone in Shelby's family may see this I would like to tell her that her and her sister's family is growing everyday. Please if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    3. I am looking for information on my grandfather, Richard HOCKING, born April 30, about 1865 in Cornwall, England. Died in the 1930's in Cornwall before I was born. I have yet to find where he is buried. He supposedly remarried in 1926 shortly after his wife Sarah's death, January, 1926. He at one time owned a farm but was also a tin miner as were the boys when they were old enough to work in the mine. My mother told me he had 5 brothers & that Richard was the shortest of all, he being 6'4" One of the brothers was killed fighting in one of the Zulu wars. He married Francis "SARAH" Ann JACOBS around 1890 and they lived in Redruth, Cornwall, England Sarah, b: Dec. 1865, d: Jan. 1926, was the daughter of Thomas & Maria (HANCOCK) JACOB(S) Sarah is buried in Old St Day cemetery, Redruth , Cornwall, England They had 4 children, all born in Redruth area and all moved to the USA in the early 1920's Richard, b: May about 1890 Lillian Mae Pearl, b: Dec 1893 John Henry, b: May 1897 Winfired Annie, b: Nov., 1900 I have come across some Richard HOCKINGS but as far as I know he does not have a middle name so it makes it more difficult to decide which one is his family. I ordered the marriage film from the LDS church but when I got it, it was missing all of Cornwall. Does anyone have any connections to this family? Thank You Susane Cotter

Jacob Hammond married Almeda Lanning in 1884. They were married in Hocking County and I understand they lived in Shawnee. Haven't been able to find any information about them as a couple since that marriage. I did find Almeda Hammond in the 1920 census living in Guernsey County as a widow with four children, Walter, Della, John, and Goldie. I heard he died fairly young from a mining accident. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

James Henry sailed to New Zealand on the ship Douglas when he was 19 on the 2 July 1874. His parents were John HOCKING born 1816 & Hannah HEYME born 1821, who married on the 20th December 1838 in the Parish church Constantine. I can't find any other HEYMES as yet. 3. My 3x great grandmother was Amy Johns, b. abt 1783 in Cornwall (I don't know where in Cornwall, except that she and my 3x great grandfather, Richard Hocking I, b. abt 1781 in Ruan Lanihorne, Cornwall, were married January 30, 1806 in Cornelly, Cornwall). The children of Amy and Richard were born in Ruan Lanihorne during a period of approximately 6-10 years beginning about 1808. I have baptism dates on all their 6 children (as well as birth info on Richard's natural child born April 14, 1805 to Sarah Williams, Ruan Lanihorne, before his marriage to Amy). I'm happy to share exact baptism dates (they were checked for me be a person in Ruan Lanihorne) as well as info as to their descendants, with anyone who is interested. Also, the person in Ruan who got me the baptism dates said it appeared that Richard Hocking's family hadn't been in Ruan long, and I'd love to know where they came from. By about the mid 1800s, they were mostly in Edwards County, Illinois. Roberta Casper Watson Direct line (813) 227-7487
