I am a descendant of Aldridge Hitt, who was born 1801 and died in 1896, according to his headstone in Gaines Cemetary, Hopedale Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois. His wife Catherine was born 1810 and died 1882, according to her stone. There is no death certificate for either of them in the Tazewell County records. Charles Thomas McQueen, 27 Dec. 1855, Tazewell Co., Illinois 4.Harriet, b. abt. 1838, Illinois 5.Josephine, b. abt. 1841, Illinois 6.Ellen, b. abt. 1845, Illinois 7.John S., b. 22 Feb. 1849, Illinois m. Mary Catherine ____ d. 8 May 1923, Tazewell Co., Illinois 8.Peter V., b. 1851, Illinois m. Emma____ d. 1926, Illinois 9.Kate, b. abt. 1856.
