Betty, I'm another one of them there Hitt's. I've only recently begun on the trek to find the relatives that I have. My family is hard to trace, but my father said that we're from the "Washington County, GA" group of Hitt's. My grandfather (d. 1977) was from Lawson (?) Hitt, my father only vaguely remembers his grandfather, who still was residing in Wa. Co GA during the depression years, dying sometime in the early 30/40 timeframe.
