Hello, Hello I am on a lot of List and had just about given up on nearly all of them. Until I saw Helen Oliver's message come through. I wasn't even going to take the time to read it. All the others that I had read that came through the list I never new if I was related or not. But on yours I recognized the name Hitt/Holtzclaw and John Hitt and Franky (Frances) Banks. My ancestors are: Peter Franks b.; 6 Dec 1781 in Wake Co., NC and died 14 Aug 1866 in Beinville Parish, LA. He married Rachel Hitt 5 Aug 1808, daughter of John Hitt and Frances Banks. This information was from the Bible of Peter Franks. They were probably married in Cape Girardeau Co., MO. Is the same John Hitt and Frances Banks as yours? Were yours in Wilkes Co., GA. also? I am descended from Peter and Rachel (Hitt) Franks' son Henry Franks (m. Nancy Crow in La.) their daughter Mary E. Franks who m. William Y. Hudson 1867 in Union Co., AR, their daughter Margaret "Maggie" T. Hudson who m. Levi T. Music. Henry Franks died in Coryell Co., TX in 1923.
