Charles Bussey HITT[1,2,3] was born on 15 Jul 1806 in Edgefield County, South Carolina. He died on 31 Oct 1888 in Augusta County, Richmond County, Georgia. Charles moved to August, Georgia, in about 1807. He was a merchant in Augusta, Georgia for many years. He also was a land speculator. Charles and Susan had 11 children. He was married to Susan A.
