I am trying to find out where subject fits into the Hitt family. James Matthew Hitt b. abt. 1850 in unk. d, unk., mar. abt. 1870 in Pickens Co., SC to Margaret Ann Hunt b. September 10, 1851, in Pickens Co., SC, d. April 06, 1933 ( believed to be SC.) Margaret is the d/o John Wesley Hunt, his father was John Hunt son of Esli Hunt. The only like name I can find is James M. Hitt b. abt 1843 in Alabama s/o Benjamin Martin Hitt and Amanda Hales. Does anyone have any ideas? Gordon Lane Sewanee, TN
