The use of the name "Newton" extends to all of the Germanna colonists. In my line, mostly second colony people, my uncle and my brother have the middle name of Newton. Visiting the cemeteries of the Germanna area, one notices that it occurs very often. There was a family by the name of Newton living in the area which is now Madison Co., VA.
