Instead, he settled in Arkansas and there married again. The children from his second marriage were found in Clay County, Arkansas in 1934. William was married to Sarah Ann NORMAN (daughter of John M. NORMAN and Lucinda BAYLES) about 1862 in Marshall County, Alabama. Sarah Ann NORMAN was born on 5 Dec 1838 in South Carolina. She died about 1875 in Piggott, Clay County, Arkansas. William Newton HITT and Sarah Ann NORMAN had the following children: +2 i. William Henry HITT b. abt 1864 AL, m. Elizabeth Thomas. +3 ii.
