Gordon, "The Genealogy of the Kemper Family" by Willis Miller Kemper and Harry Linn Wright, 1899, states that William was married twice -- both of his wives were named Sarah Hitt -- causing much confusion for us, but imagine the confusion for him and his children <g> It does not give dates for either Sarah.
