He was on the Bibb County Commission in 1828, and was elected to the Ala. Legislature in 1840. Davidson helped found the Presbyterian Church in Centerville. He died 1863 Mar. 4. Typed transcripts of a few pages from a "diary," 1828-1833, detailing aspects of property sold in Centerville, and to whom. Besides Davidson, other major purchasers included Thomas Crawford, L.B.
