I finally have the information on my Dad's family I was looking for. I can't thank you enough. I finally found the copy of the diary of the Reverend that came over in a covered wagon. It is the diary of a T.W. Hinds from Farmington, Southeastern Iowa who left there on May 2, 1850 and arrived in Sacramento sometime after September 22, 1850. He then traveled from Sacramento to San Francisco via the Sacramento River by boat. T.W. lists his children as: Alfred, Amelia, and William. His wife died and was buried during the last month of the journey, yet he never mentioned her name in the diary. I still don't know how I am related to this family, but that's what I'm going to try to find out next. Thanks, again, Nan!
