    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Hinds, Bolton. McAlpine Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EKj.2ACIB/369.1.1.1 Message Board Post: We have an ongoing DNA project on the Hinds family. I am a close relative to Walter Freeman Hinds and a descendant of Joseph Hinds of Mendham, NJ who was born about 1705. My first cousin who took the DNA test for our family matched three other persons whose research showed them to be descendants of the same man. The evidence indicates that we are of English origin. There is no evidence of Native American inheritance. The Boltons can be traced back to England through records although there is no DNA proof. Any Indian blood must be through the McAlpine family. William Wallace Hinds and other family members are buried in Bullard Cemetery in Smith County, Texas. Claud Slaughter Hinds is buried in Flint Cemetery in Smith County. The headstone data is posted on the Smith County Gen web site.Claud must be the brother of your Grandmother.
