He was retired from the Army, a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and a member of Chant Pentecostal Church. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Chant Pentecostal Church with burial at Parks Cemetery in Nola under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron. He is survived by his wife, Judy; a daughter, Teri L. Brothers of Harvey; two sons, Madison F. "Buddy" Hines and Douglas D. Hines, both of Odessa, Texas; a sister, Theresa Ann Garrett of Mena; a brother, Bill of Pahrump, Nev.; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Donny and Roy Austin, J.D. Brothers, Joe Maxey, J.B. Wagner and Bill Shaddon. The body may be viewed from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
