Hinds, 59, of Pierce City, who died November 10, were held at 1 p.m. November 13 at Lakin Chapel in Pierce City with Rev. John Masters officiating. Music was provided by J. D. Smith and Kay Smith who sang I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone and A Closer Walk With Thee. Organist was J. D. Smith. Casketbearers were Jason Moore, Marty Hunnell, David Hunnell, Eric Moore, Robert Voelker, and Jack George. Burial was in Pierce City Cemetery under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home of Pierce City. Bi-County Obituaries for November 11, 2004 Published November 11, 2004 04:00 PM CST Dorothy Mae Hinds, 59, Pierce City, died Wednesday, November 10, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield. Miss Hinds was born December 29, 1944, at Neosho. She was a graduate of Pierce City High School and a member of the First Congregational Church of Pierce City where she was a deaconess. Survivors include her mother, Enola Seufert Hinds, Pierce City; four sisters, Linda Hinds of Pierce City, Sandy Hunnell of Monett, Patty Moore of Aurora and Shirley Voelker of Enid, Oklahoma; and one brother, Richard Hinds of Pierce City. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Hinds. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 13, with the Reverend John Masters officiating, at Lakin Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pierce City Cemetery under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 12, at the funeral home.
