Mary and John were brother and sister to my Grandfather, Charles F. (nee, "Charley") Hinds, who was actually born in Lawrence County, Indiana, in 1872. Somehow or other, Mary and another brother (Frank) became Quakers. Their Father (also named John) and Mother (Jane Thompson Hinds)(my Great Grandparents) as well as my Grandfather somehow got hooked up with the "International Bible Students" (now the Jehova's Witnesses). (When it comes to religion, the Hindses have a dog from every town!) My Grandparents (Charley and Stella McKnight Hinds) moved to Stroud (then in the Indian Territory, of course) along with Mary and Joe.
