Howdy Ed and Teresa I've been out of town for the last week, or I would have written sooner. I have information about the Hinds family of Hindsville. This is my line. My ggg-grandfather was William Hinds. The town is named after his brother John, who donated land for the Post Office and school. William and John's father was Levi Hinds, who was a son of Captain John Henry Hinds. Lorenzo James "Ringo" Hinds who married Mary Jane King was a son of the above John. I don't know of another King woman marrying into this Hinds branch. I also had not heard about Lorenzo and Mary taking in any additional children, but your information matches them otherwise. Margaret King, Mary's mother, is in the Hindsville cemetery. Her tombstone says she was born 1800-10-17 and died 1875-05-10. Ed, can you tell me the names of Mary's parents? I'd like to have that for my database. Sarah Frances Ross' husband was John Christopher Columbus Hinds, oldest son of Lorenzo. According to their son James Lorenzo, they were married in Hindsville after John C C came back from Beaumont TX, where he had been working to grade a railroad. They had 3 children as Teresa stated. James Lorenzo Hinds was born 1884-02-17 in Hindsville and died 1972-02-xx in California. Catherine was born about 1888. Arvilla was born 1890-09-09. I don't have any more information on Lorenzo's other children, but I do have information on the rest of the Hinds families in Hindsville. Is there anything else you want to know about them?
