He was out of it by 1847. I would like to know where I write for details of 'entry and exit' of this Guards. He was there for a few years but may not have been there 5 years. We have a photo of him in uniform and he created quite a stir when he re-visited Haworth, being invited out to all the 'posh' houses on the strength of his position and grand appearance!
