Hi: I spotted at the MOA (Making of America) site a list of people at Ft. Kearney at a specific time listing their wagons, stock, etc. and their destination. It is a list of several hundred immigrants who had signed a petition while passing through Ft. Kearney asking that a bridge be built over the Green River. I posted the bit about S. H. Hinds below. Regards, Nan [email protected] ============= http://moa.umdl.umich.edu/moa_search.html Found by going to the Book search (there is also a journal search) at MOA and searching for Hinds - Arkansas - and not Mississippi. S. H. Hinds of Wisconsin had 2 wagons, 7 people, 17 head of stock and his destination was Oregon. You might want to visit the site and see the others at the Ft. at the same time. Some were headed to CA - the rest to OR. Copied by MOA from: Additional estimate for Fort Kearney, South Pass, and Honey Lake wagon road.
