Thanks for writing. Below is all the information that I have at this time. Look closely and see if any of this sounds like we could be related. I would certainly be thrilled to find out some information about them. I will keep your letter and if I find some additional information that would connection our ancestors I will let you know. 2nd Great Grandparents: Anna Hancock born January 1820, died 1878 Perryville, AR and married John Hines (probably his second marriage) born 1812 and died 1878. John Hines owned a dry goods store and at least 80 acres of land in or near Perryville, AR. Anna Hancock and John Hines were suppose to be Cherokee Indians. John Hines had at least 3 children from previous marriage. 1) Fred Hines 2) Dick Hines 3) Margaret Hines John Hines and Anna Hancock had at least 5 children probably all were born in AR: 1) Linda Hancock Hines born December 25, 1866 in AR and died 1936 in Ralston, OK 2) “Tom” Thomas Jefferson Hines born May 17, 1871 in AR 3) George Hines born October 23, 1872 4) Lou Hines (female) born March 5, 1877 5) “Tenny” Tennessee Hines (female) Great Grandparents: Linda “Lindy” “Lin” or called “Lynn” Hancock Hines born Dec. 25, 1866 in AR, and died in Ralston, OK. On Dec. 25, 1882 in Perryville, AR Linda married Sam Adalaski McKinney born about 1854 in IN and died about 1930 in OK. In 1878, Linda Hancock Hines had inherited 80 acreas of land in Perryville, AR after the death of her parents, Anna Hancock and John Hines. Linda and Sam McKinney moved to Bibbs Mountain near Marble City, OK in Sequoyah County in the Crooken Hills about 30-40 miles from Sallisaw, OK by 1888. At one time Linda and Sam McKinney owned 2 farms near Bibbs Mountain, Indian Territory, OK. They had 10 children. Thanks for efforts.
