According to this book , Solomon West came to Wayne Co. from South Carolina. He was married to Hetty (Kitty) Norton daughter of Mercer Norton and Martha (Higgens) Norton West. Solomon's father, also named Solomon, was a Revolutionary War Patriot. Solomon's grandson , Tunstal Quarles West, married Sarah Elizabeth Wray, the granddaughter of John S. Wray.
