    1. Hinds mentioned in Knox Co. TN apprentice list

    3. Hi: I am posting below a list of orphans who were assigned to various Hines, Hinds in a book about Apprentices in TN. I am posting some not because they are connected with the names Hinds but are connected to one another as orphaned siblings. The Bond children (below) were half orphans - their mother Jane Beeson Bond had died. The daughter, Elizabeth Bond, is my direct and she actually had three guardians before she was old enough to marry an Edward Mattix. The Bonds were Quakers but we have found no indication that the Hinds families in this area were Quakers. But, the Hinds were chosen as guardians for Quaker children and as administrators of Quaker estates so they must have been 'well thought of'.
