Ky, posted by Ed Vicars on Sat, 18 Dec 1999 Surname: Hines, Hinds See www.rootsweb.com/~tnunion/historical/hindf.htm, a story on Joseph Hinds, who moved to Wayne County, Ky. c.1800 (his will was filed there; daughter Ruth & son-in-law William Sharp lived there in that era). He had a son Joseph, probably about the right age to be the father of Stephen (one other son of Joseph Sr is mentioned as being born in 1771).
