It is one of my earliest memories sitting on the family Bible or dictionary to eat dinner at the grown-up table and being taken to see the horses- not to the races- too small. I believe he had a step-mother or father. There was a Mattie Dill name in his family and I believe he settled the estate- also a Mattie Coles. He was born 12-3-1830, d. 1-8-1898 buried in Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery. Lot 1433. Our records say he married Aunt Lydia before 1860..."
