    3. Hi: I'm pasting a message from Hinds section of GenForum.com below. I rushed to e-bay but I was too late. I hope one of you Hinds researchers bought it. Marked in pencil on inside is: "Emma Warner? Pottsville, Pa". With the bible was an envelope folded in marked "Mr. Henry H. Hinds 1st Lieut. Co A 57th Regt Washington, DC". Has cancelled stamp and "Rushville, PA Apr 18" on top. Envelope in great shape, but bible has some rough edged pages, and spines has a little bit frayed, but bible is complete and is id'd and civil war dated. Henry H. Hinds: Captain December 4, 1861 3 Promoted from 1st Sergeant to 1st Lieutenant, January 7, 1863; to Captain May 15, 1865; discharged May 15, 1865. 57th was at Gainesville, Fredericksburg, Bull Run, Gettysburg, Chancellorville, Cold Harbor and other battles...
