    1. Lorenzo Hinds and wife Mary Jane King, 1850s and 60s, Hindsville, Madison County, Arkansas
    2. Edward Moore
    3. Lorenzo Hinds was apparently a member of the many Hinds families who lived near, and gave their name to, Hindsville, Arkansas. Hindsville is a small village in Madison County. By the 1860 census of Little Spring, Madison County, Arkansas, three people are living in house #141: Lorenzo Hinds, age 24, born AR; Mary J. Hinds, 24, TN; and Margaret King, 60. Margaret King was Mary Jane Hind's mother. Mary Jane King, who married Lorenzo Hinds in the 1850s, was the sister of my great-grandmother, Minerva Ann King. These sisters were the daughters of Margaret King, head of household, living in Conway County, Arkansas in 1850. I believe the mother, Margaret King, was married to William King, who was murdered in 1849 in Marion County, Arkansas, a victim in the Marion County War, also known as the Everett - Tutt War, AKA Everett - King Feud or War. I am hoping someone has researched these Hinds families and may have stumbled on proof that Mary Jane (King) Hind's father was William King. Thanks for any information.
