I'm new to this group... my 4th great-grandmother was Delilah Hinderleiter, born about 1807 in Kentucky, and died sometime before 1852 in Jackson County,Indiana. She was married sometime before 1830 to Commodore Peck in Indiana, with whom she had children Nancy and Daniel; later she married Washington L. Woody on 31 Dec 1840 in Jackson County, Indiana, with whom she had Susan D. and Gertrude. Susan was my 3rd great-grandmother. I would love to find out more about Delilah Hinderleiter's ancesters. I am wondering if her parents might be Frederic Hinderleiter and Catherine Bishop Hinderleiter, since they were married in KY (Delilah's birthplace) and later moved to Jackson County IN, but I don't know. I do have him marrying Mary Cook, but I did not know what happened to her. I think I may have a death certificate or notice of when Wade died. Katie Hinderliter was the daughter of Michael L. Hinderliter, who is my g-g-grandfather. I would be interested in any information you may have in regards to Wade I. Hinderliter. Hinterliter and have his genealogy going back to his Great Grandfather, Daniel Hinterliter, born in 1796 in Berks County PA. I probably can go back farther but only go back two generations on the families that marry into ours which in this case was my ancestor, Susannah Brocious who married Wade's grandfather, Michael H. Hinterliter in 1860. I'd love to exchange family genealogy and am interested in finding out about what happened to Wade after I lost him in Pontiac MI in 1942 when he was married to his second wife, Elizabeth Grace. I also have what happened to his first wife, Mary Leona Cook (Hinterliter, Horn), 1900-1979, after they were divorced between 1930-1935, if someone still needs it.
