I am wondering if anyone in this group has learned any more about James Hill (b 1765-1775), son of William Hill (1737-1792) and Elizabeth Halbert during the DNA project. Unfortunately, I have been unable to convince my Hill Cousins to participate in the project. I know my ggg grandfather James Harl Hill's (1804-1880+) father was James and his grandfather was William (from statements in land sales records). I know James Harl Hill's father (James) was in Rutherford County, TN from about 1804 to 1821. There is circumstantial evidence pointing to the William who married Elizabeth Halbert as the grandfather of James Harl Hill but nothing real solid. If anyone has learned anything that would help me confirm or eliminate James the son of William and Elizabeth, I would appreciate hearing from you.
