I would like to encourage the participation of some northern HILL lines in our DNA study. Typically, the southern lines (often as a result of the Civil War) are suffering from a lack of documents, but bringing in some northern lines into the DNA study can help us all greatly. Between the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, families followed Bounty Land rights and moved westward, some stayed in the north, and some went west via the south. DNA is already connecting some of these families that were long ago separated. If you are of a northern HILL line and would like to possibly connect with some of your southern cousins, please consider participating in the HILL DNA PROJECT.
