Thanks to all that share information. So far I have not found a connection for my Marvel H. Hill b: 1776 in N.C. according to his pension papers for the War of 1812. He volunteered and served in the Tennessee Volunteers commanded by William Moore, John A. Chapman, First Lieutenant. Enlisted June 18, 1812 and was honorably discharged in Columbia on Duck River in TN. April 15, 1813. 1820 he owned land in Franklin ,TN. Pension papers also state that he was in Caldwell Co. KY. by 1830. Marvel was m: to Mary Polly Morris(can't find marriage record) Death register book, Lyon Co. KY. has her parents as John and Susannah Morris. Migration: 1803 he shows as a tax defaulter in Jackson Co. GA. A James Hill also shows as a tax defaulter in the same list. Oldest daughter Meleta by census records show b: 1805 in GA. She m: Williamson Moore. Daughter Barbara b: 1807 in TN. m: James N. Wells, Son Daniel Naldy b: 1817 in TN. m: Mary Whalen, sons Marvel and John show b: in AL. Marvel Jr. m: Elizabeth Bannister, John m: matilda Midyett9midgett). Would be happy to share any info I have, this area of Kentucky my Hill's settled in is in the Western part. Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers, Barkley and Kentucky Lakes. The DNA testing is awesome.
